Les troubles du liquide amniotique

Il ne faut pas confondre le banal excès ou insuffisance de liquide amniotique avec ce qu’on appelle les troubles du liquide amniotique.

Hydramnios: on parle d’hydramnios lorsqu’il y a une quantité de liquide amniotique trop importante pour la taille de l’utérus (plus de 2 litres). L’excès de liquide a pour conséquence de distendre l’utérus et de provoquer des contractions. C’est alors un risque d’accouchement prématuré. Cet excès de liquide peut être d’origine ftale (grossesse gémellaire, malformations) ou maternelle (un diabète, incompatibilité sanguine). L’échographie renseignera sur le développement du bébé et parfois sur la cause de l’hydramnios. Dans certains cas, un traitement médical peut suffire. Dans d’autres cas, des ponctions amniotiques
